So I'm back from my trip to the ConnectiCon 2008 weekend. Firstly, I must give a very big thank you to all the people to came to my and my partners table. Everyone was so nice and they definitely inspired and motivated me to keep working and to try my best to do the best that I can.

It was a long drive there. About 2 and 1/2 hours. Wasn't too bad, but when you had about 2 hours of sleep on Thursday, it can be a killer. (Especially since we went the day before the con started to get our badges so we didn't have to wait in line, come to find out, we could of just got by everyone since we are artists in the alley) *grumbles* hehe.

A couple of times we got lost, since the GPS wasn't programmed to recognize detours, and I didn't know how to set it to do so. There was a bunch of road work being done on the way but we still got around it. Nothing could stop us from going.

On the first day of setup in the morning one of the most amazing things happened! We were interviewed by The Connecticut news channel Fox 61! Apparently we were on the news at ten. But we weren't able to see it since we were still at the con. They said it would be online but we couldn't find it. So if anyone finds it, PLEASE give me a link to the page? And thank you ^_^

Also we had A LOT of people who wanted Anime Portraits of themselves drawn. This was waaay more popular then I thought it would be. Since we had like crowds of ten + people at our table at once waiting to be drawn. A bunch of times we had a group photo done of 3-4 people in one picture. O_O

It was extremely exhausting drawing people from 8am until midnight. That's about 16 hours of non-stop work. Our hands were crapping and our eyes and bodies were burning. lol We didn't get to sleep until 1am and had to be up before 8am to do it all over again. Within 48 hours time we only slept for 9 hours. And then by sunday, we only slept for 16 hours with 72 -_-

Thank all that is holy that we had hotel and motel reservations so we didn't have to travel back home everyday. If we had to do so, I would of laid down somewhere cold and hard and cried until I was passed out in some bush. *laughs*

But regardless, it was the most amazing experience we ever had in our entire lives. The con, the people, the art, it was all such an ecstatic time and we thank everyone who noticed us and wanted our drawings. Though I got asked a million times for a business card and I didn't have any. T_T Hopefully I will at AB 2009.

Well, that's all, thanx again everyone, take care and enjoy.

Welcome back! Glad you had a great time.

I contacted WTIC News for you, and I got a response from them. They did not air a segment about the convention on the Ten o'clock news. They did air a story on the morning news show. However, I don't think you are in it... :-(

Hmmm.....Yes this is outside. My partner and I were inside during this time. I had seen a second part to this video, the reporter was inside speaking with people at the game section just across from me.

I am sure I was in the segment after that since he traveled to us from the game area. But I can't seem to locate it.

Thank you VERY much for looking though. ^__^
